Dr Kirsty Entwistle
Clinical Psychologist
Psychological Therapy via Videocall

Psychological therapy for yourself or for your child

I offer psychological assessment and therapy to adults and to adolescents who are experiencing  a range of psychological difficulties. These may include anxious and/or depressed feelings, distressing, unwanted thoughts, unstable mood, relationship problems, body image issues and confusion and stress related to sexuality and gender (see Gender for more information on my approach to the latter).

The first few sessions will be information gathering/ assessment sessions and we will also agree on what areas we need to focus on and what psychological approach to take (see Useful Links for information on the psychological therapy models that I draw on). For most adolescent clients we would most likely be working together for somewhere between 6 to 12 months.

Online psychological therapy requires a reliable internet connection, a good quality device or laptop, headphones, a private space to talk, and at least a basic level of skill with computers.

I offer a free 30 minute 'initial conversation' via videocall where we can discuss some of the pros and cons of working online and whether it is likely to meet either yours or your child's needs. If I think that you or your child would be better served with local, face to face appointments and/or by accessing local NHS psychological services I will, of course, recommend this to you.
